A Moment of Deep Gratitude – Receiving the 'Naari Puskaram' Award

There are moments in life that make you pause, reflect, and feel truly humbled. Receiving the 'Naari Puskaram' award from the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Study Center was one such moment for me.

When I began my journey in education, I could hardly envision receiving such remarkable recognition. I simply wanted to make a difference in Education. I believed that with care, conviction, and commitment, we could transform the lives of young students. And at Kochi Business School, I found the perfect place to make my belief come true!

This award isn’t just about me. It represents the strength of every woman who has walked a difficult path with dignity, the power of education to uplift lives, and the unshakable faith that one small step can spark great change.

Taking charge of KBS in 2020 came with its share of challenges. Back then, we had just 20 students. But I had a vision to build a school where each student would feel seen, heard, and valued. With the support of my incredible team and the trust of our students and their families, we grew rapidly. Today, with an intake of 120 students and countless success stories, KBS has become more than a campus. It has become one big family.

Thinking back, I owe a lot to my roots. My father, a mathematics professor, and my dearest aunt have been the guiding lights in my life. They taught me to stay grounded and strong. And every time I feel unsure, I turn to those lessons with gratitude in my heart.

The 'Naari Puskaram' is more than an award; it is a reminder that leadership begins with love. At KBS, we don’t just teach, we nurture, mentor, and prepare our students to take on the world. From personalized mentor groups to real-world skill development, every initiative we take is focused on empowering our students.

As I hold this award close, I dedicate it to my students, my team, and every woman who is working quietly, fearlessly, and passionately to change the world around her. Thank you to the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Study Center for this honour. It is one I will cherish forever!
