Empowering Futures: My Journey Leading the “Career Take-Off” Workshop at Lead College
I had an amazing opportunity to conduct a two-day career development event, "Career Take-Off" at LEAD College, Palakkad, on May 26 and 27, 2025. It was incredibly motivating and fulfilling to engage with more than 300 keen MCA and MBA students who were all getting ready to enter the workforce.
I was struck by the students' enthusiasm and drive to learn as soon as I started the sessions. The curriculum was intended to be comprehensive, emphasizing not only technical capabilities but also the mindset and soft skills necessary for professional success. I had the opportunity to impart knowledge, useful advice, and engaging exercises that would give these young brains the skills they need to negotiate the cutthroat job market successfully.
Program Highlights
We discussed a wide range of subjects essential to career preparation throughout two days:

- Promoting professionalism and self-presentation is known as grooming.
- Interview Techniques: Practicing interviews and exchanging techniques to ace actual interviews.
- Self-Introduction: Helping students create compelling personal statements.
- Placement Readiness: Being aware of recruiting trends and knowing what employers want to see.

Personal Reflection
“Career Take-Off” wasn’t just a training session for me — it was a meaningful chance to connect with the next generation of professionals. The interactive sessions, filled with group activities and role-plays, helped students open up, ask questions, and apply what they learned. It was truly rewarding to see them gain confidence and clarity about their future.
I believe education is not just about academics. It’s about shaping individuals who are ready to take on real-world challenges. This program reminded me of why I love mentoring — to guide students, support their growth, and help them embrace change with courage.
Looking Ahead
I'm truly thankful to Lead College for organizing this program and trusting me to guide their talented students. The positive feedback and visible improvements in the students inspire me to continue doing programs like this — ones that help bridge the gap between college and career.
To all the students who joined, remember: your career is in your hands. Stay curious, keep learning, and always be ready to grow. This is just the beginning of your “Career Take-Off” — and I believe you’re all set to fly high!
